API reference

Warning

The API reference includes all finished methods with full signature. However, a lot of the descriptions are still missing. Additionally, we expect that some arguments might still change names, potentially breaking code. Be aware of this in future updates.

These packages describe the modules, classes, and methods that constitute the plato package. Here you’ll find detailed explanations of how all the components work together.

globe.Globe([settings, reconstruction, ...])	Class to store information on global plate tectonic properties of the Earth.
grids.Grids([settings, reconstruction, ...])	Class to hold gridded data.
plates.Plates([settings, reconstruction, ...])	Class that contains all information for the plates in a reconstruction.
plate_torques.PlateTorques([settings, ...])	PlateTorques class.
plot.PlotReconstruction([plate_torques, ...])	A class to make standardised plots of reconstructions.
points.Points([settings, reconstruction, ...])	Class that contains all information for the points in a reconstruction.
slabs.Slabs([settings, reconstruction, ...])	Class that contains all information for the slabs in a reconstruction.
